MakeToon: Anime Maker does not store personal data or uploaded photos after processing. Our core functionality is transforming your photos into anime or cartoon-style characters using artificial intelligence.

This policy complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other major data protection laws.

1. What Data We Collect and Why

1.1. Account and Login Data

• We use Firebase Authentication for optional sign-in via Google, Apple, or other providers.
• We may receive non-sensitive info such as your email or name from Firebase if you choose to sign in.
• Login is not required to use our app’s core features.

1.2. Photo & Face Data

• We do not store or save your photos or face data.
• Photos are used only to apply anime/cartoon filters and effects.
• Facial features are detected to apply stylistic changes like anime eyes, cartoon outlines, and skin tone stylization.
• All processing is done temporarily and automatically deleted afterward.
• Processing is powered by Fal.ai, which is contractually required to delete data immediately after use.

1.3. Payments

• In-app purchases are handled via the Apple App Store.
• We do not collect or store your payment or credit card details.

1.4. Analytics & Crash Reports

• We use Firebase Crashlytics to track bugs and app performance.
• Anonymous usage data may be collected to improve the app experience.

1.5. Advertisements

• Ads may be shown through Google AdMob.
• You can disable personalized ads via your device’s ad settings.

1.6. Face Data Collection and Processing

Face data is used only to detect facial features for the purpose of anime/cartoon transformation. It is processed temporarily and automatically deleted after processing. No data is stored or shared with any third parties, except Fal.ai, which also deletes all data after use.

Purpose of Use

• Face data is used only to detect facial features for the purpose of applying artistic effects and transformations (e.g., anime-style eyes, cartoon outlines).
• We do not use face data for identification, authentication, or surveillance.

Storage and Retention

• No Permanent Storage: Face data is never stored on our servers.
• Temporary Processing: Face data is processed in real-time and immediately discarded after the transformation is complete.

Third-Party Processing

• Face data is processed using Fal.ai AI models for transformation only.
• Fal.ai is contractually required to delete all data immediately after processing.
• We do not share face data with advertisers or any other third parties.

Compliance

• Our handling of face data complies with Apple’s privacy requirements, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Face data is not used for user profiling or tracking.

2. Third-Party Services

We integrate with trusted partners to provide our features:

• Firebase (authentication, analytics, crash tracking)
• Fal.ai (photo processing & AI transformations)
• Google AdMob (advertisements)

These partners have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

3. Data Security

• We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
• Photo and face data are not stored after processing.
• Firebase services use Google’s secure infrastructure.

4. Your Rights

• You can delete your account at any time.
• You can turn off personalized ads from your device settings.
• If you are located in the EU or California, you have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your data in accordance with GDPR/CCPA.
